Setting the Stage

The product arrived safely with no damage, which was a good start! The tincture packaging is clearly labeled as a pet product, is easy to read, and has all of the important information, including dose suggestions, right on the box.

The bottle itself has the same information as the box, which is great for someone like me who often loses packaging. Importantly, the box and the bottle note that the product contains tree nuts (coconut) for anyone who may have a tree nut allergy. 

The Picky Dog Challenge, Complete!

Phase 1: At first, I decided to administer the drops into my dog’s mouth directly. He tolerated it the first time, but clearly did not enjoy it. Since I was using the Classic tincture, it did not have a palatable flavor for my dog to enjoy. The second time I went to administer it, he tried to avoid it, so I knew I needed to move on to plan B. 

Phase 2: My next attempt to administer the tincture was to place it on a biscuit treat. I let the tincture soak in a bit before giving it to my dog, but he knew it was on there! At first, he dropped the treat and smelled it. Then he slowly ate it, not looking thrilled.

Phase 3: Finally, I decided to add it to his food. When mixed with food that has more scent and texture, my dog didn’t notice the tincture and ate it right up. Huzzah! 

My Dog, Minus the Stress

Before starting CBD, my dog would not let me out of his sight. He would often pant from anxiety and only calm down when snuggling or being petted.
