Why was it recalled?
Salmonella bacteria can cause infections in cats when consumed, leading to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, fever, excess salivation, and decreased appetite. Humans handling contaminated products may also experience similar symptoms, so it's important to wash your hands thoroughly after handling your cat's food. Some cats may be asymptomatic but can still spread the bacteria to other pets and humans.
The affected products were sold at the company’s retail stores in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and Woodbury, Minnesota. No other Woody’s Pet Food Deli products are included in this recall.
