Affected Products in the June 2025 Answers Pet Food FDA Warning Letter:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning letter to Lystn LLC, doing business as Answers Pet Food, after inspections and testing confirmed contamination with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes in multiple products. Although no official recall was issued, the FDA identified several lots of dog food formulas as adulterated and potentially unsafe. The affected product details are as follows:

Pet owners are advised to check if they have the affected lots of Answers Raw Beef Detailed Formula, Raw Beef Straight Formula, or Straight Chicken Formula. Pets exposed to Salmonella or Listeria may show symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, fever, lethargy, or decreased appetite. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can also carry the bacteria and spread it to other animals or humans.

Symptoms of Salmonella and Listeria exposure in people may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, fever, muscle aches, and fatigue.
