The recalled products were distributed between January 3 to January 24, 2025, and were primarily sold in retail stores across nine U.S. states. Contamination was confirmed following testing initiated by the New York State Department of Agriculture and verified by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.

No human or pet illnesses have been officially reported at the time of the announcement.
