VitaLife Company Overview

VitaLife manufactures dog treats that are listed as being free of chicken by-products, wheat, corn, soy, added salt, or glycerin. The company lists the treats as being sourced from farm-fresh ingredients and baked in a state-of-the-art kitchen.

VitaLife was founded in 2009. Although the contact information listed on the website points to Canada, the dog treats are made in a facility in Thailand. According to the company, “Thailand has one of the highest standards for quality control and production, and we ensure you that each and every VitaLife treat exceeds international quality standards.”

Has There Ever Been a VitaLife Recall?

There has never been a VitaLife recall, according to company officials and a review by the Petful research team. However, VitaLife jerky treats were among the brands that consumers submitted complaints about during the years-long jerky treat crisis, peaking around 2013, that left more than 1,000 dogs dead and many more sickened. No definitive link between the treats and the deaths was ever been established.
