Throughout the years, there have been several instances of Premium Edge Recall.   • Finicky Adult Cat, 18 lb., “Best by” date of July 10, 2013
  • Finicky Adult Cat, 6 lb., Best by Aug. 15–16 2013
  • Senior Cat Hairball Management, 6 lb. and 18 lb., Best by Jan. 3–4, 2014
  • Senior Cat Hairball Management, 6 lb. and 18 lb., Best by July 10, 2013
  • Kitten Formula, 6 oz. samples, 6 lb., 18 lb., Best by Sept. 26, Sept. 29–30, Oct. 2, 2013

May 2012
Cause: Possible salmonella. Announcement: FDA report dated May 5, 2012What was recalled: All Premium Edge brands with production codes on the back of bags that have a number “2” or a “3” in the 9th position AND an “X” in the 10th or 11th position — and with “Best by” dates between Dec. 9, 2012, and April 7, 2013.
