Mister Buck's Company Overview
Mister Buck's Pet Food Company was started in 2002 by Jon Kitto and Alonso Saldivar. The pair owned a commercial service firm but were one day introduced to a Greyhound at a pet event, whom they later adopted. Because Mary Jane was shy and reserved, they were told to get another dog. The second Greyhound, Mister Buck, was just what Mary Jane and her dads needed.
Kitto and Saldivar decided to sell their commercial business in 2002 to focus on creating and manufacturing pet food under the label Mister Buck’s Genuinely Good Pet Food Co.
A portion of each sale goes to local rescues, shelters and the Greyhound Boarding & Retirement Kamp.
