Answers Company Overview
Founded in 2009, Answers Pet Food, a family-owned business located in Eastern Pennsylvania, has dedicated itself to crafting fermented pet food and treats for cats and dogs. With a mission to improve pet lives through food, Answers Pet Food emerged from a desire to address the rising cases of life-altering diseases in pets. The company’s approach to pet nutrition is grounded in the belief that a significant portion of the immune response originates in the stomach, thus emphasizing the importance of a high-quality diet.
Answers Pet Food specializes in a raw diet for dogs and cats, using ethically sourced, humanely raised ingredients, and organically grown vegetables. Recognized for its commitment to environmental and social responsibility, the company has been certified by Green America’s Green Business Network. Its packaging is made from 100% recycled material, aligning with its ethos of being an “ethical, social, and environmentally conscious and best practices based movement.”
The company takes pride in its minimal processing approach to ensure the natural quality of its products. This is reflected in their moist and soft nibbles and patties, in contrast to over-processed raw diets. All their products are GMO-free, and they have expanded their range to include fermented raw cow’s milk kefir. Answers Pet Food aspires to offer every pet a better quality of life through its nutritious, conscientious food choices.

Answers Company Complaints
In January 2019, the FDA issued a warning letter stating that a single lot of A+ Answers Straight Beef Formula dog food had tested positive for salmonella. Because of the FDA’s “zero tolerance” policy toward salmonella, the agency wants that lot of food recalled. But the maker of Answers Pet Food has been fighting back — in a big way. Petful publisher Dave Baker explains here.
