We’re excited to announce Petful’s new editor in chief.
Stepping into that role, beginning today, is our very own Kristine Lacoste.
Kristine has been with Petful since fall 2011, nearly 6 years, when we were known as Pets Adviser. (“I love her,” gushed Tamar, associate editor at the time.)
Besides her years of experience with our processes and people, Kristine has a passion for and dedication to making Petful stronger.
“I am excited to embark on this journey with our exceptional team and amazing fans,” says Kristine. “We will continue to work diligently to be your go-to resource for pet information and entertainment.”
As editorial leader, Kristine will be looking for specific ways to make Petful’s content the smartest, most informative, most engaging pets content on the web.
“Our priority, first and foremost, has always been animal welfare and informing pet parents of the issues facing pets today, and we have many great new ideas to enhance our readers’ experiences in the near future,” she says.
“Whether it’s a breed profile, a funny picture or an in-depth series on contentious issues, everything we do is focused on pets living happier lives and empowering their human caregivers with information, entertainment and shared experiences.”
Kristine, an author, poet and pet lover from Louisiana, has bachelor’s degrees in psychology and English and will earn her Master of Business Administration degree later this year. Her career experience includes work as a director of human resources and as chief financial officer of a firm in Louisiana.
Please join us in welcoming Kristine into her new role at Petful. She holds responsibility over the editorial direction of our website and our various social media properties.
