According to the news release, “The FDA informed Smucker of 3 illness reports, and we immediately initiated a voluntary recall of the limited, impacted production.” The dog treats were distributed nationally, and this recall is limited to the 2 specific varieties, dates and sizes noted above.
Pets that eat food or treats containing thyroid hormones may develop hyperthyroidism.
