Because someone cared, Tumbelina has escaped a possible death sentence and gained a second chance at life.
Born with cerebellar hypoplasia, the kitten has had many challenges, including being unable to walk. Placed in a high-kill shelter, she had a slim chance of survival — until a group of “angels” rescued her.
Volunteers from an animal rehab center, Valley Cats Inc., put forth their all to give Tumbelina the chance at life that all animals deserve. She was given hydrotherapy to help tone her muscles and a special 4-wheeled cart to help her learn to walk on her own.
Now their dedicated efforts are paying off. After The Pet Collective posted a video of Tumbelina’s life story, numerous offers to adopt came pouring in. Her lucky new mom traveled from Georgia to California to pick up the cute kitten. Tumbelina will be sharing a home with a loving family and another cat with special needs.
Here’s to a bright and happy life for Tumbelina and the caring people who made it happen.
