Defender was a line of pet food that was marketed by Hi-Tek Rations, Inc. In 2014, Hi-Tek Rations Inc. joined hands with Sunshine Mills to become Sun-Tek Pet LLC. Sunshine Mills bought the rights to the Defender brand, among other value brands. Defender pet food apparently was phased out.
