Has Blue Ridge Beef Ever Been Recalled?

Yes. In March 2018, a single lot of frozen dog food was recalled over concerns about salmonella and listeria contamination. Earlier that month, a lot of frozen raw cat food was recalled after 2 kittens died. According to the FDA, the agency received a complaint of the kittens’ deaths, including 1 confirmed salmonella death. Subsequent tests were positive for both salmonella and listeria.

About a year earlier, in January 2017, Blue Ridge Beef had recalled another frozen product because of the potential for contamination with listeria. The month before that, the company recalled 2 frozen products, also because of the possibility of salmonella or listeria.
