Write for Petful
We publish expert-led writing on dog and cat health, behavior, nutrition, and product reviews — read by millions of pet owners each year. Pitch us what you know better than anyone else.
Four kinds of pitches we say yes to
If your pitch fits one of these categories and you can bring real expertise or first-hand experience, we want to hear from you.
Vet & Behaviorist Insights
Evidence-based pieces on diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, or training science. Credentials required.
First-Person Stories
Rescue journeys, senior pet care, training transformations, grief and loss. Honest, specific, never saccharine.
Hands-On Product Tests
You used the product with a real pet for at least two weeks, documented results, and have photos. No unboxings.
Deep-Dive Guides
How-to content that goes beyond surface-level advice — breed profiles, nutrition comparisons, behavioral training.
Submission Guidelines
Before you pitch, please read these carefully.
- Original work, not published anywhere else (no republishing from your own blog)
- 800–2,000 words for features, 1,500–3,000 for deep-dive guides
- Cite sources for health and behavior claims — studies, vets, trainers with credentials
- Include a short author bio (1–2 sentences) and, if relevant, your credentials
- Original photography preferred. If licensed, tell us the source.

Committed pet owners, not casual readers
Petful's audience is dog and cat owners who take their responsibilities seriously. They come to us for specific, actionable answers — symptoms, product decisions, training problems, rescue guidance.
They aren't here for clickbait. They're here to solve a problem. Write like you're helping one of them.
